we visited family in the congo my senior year of high school. it was christmas break. on our last day, we went to the airport to drop off our luggage. this cute boy was there. i was like hiiiiiiii o.o
came back to the airport later in the evening to catch our flight. he was there. we had the same flight. naturally, i had to confess my love to him in my journal as the plane took off. duh?
the result was this cute and corny love song. being a cancer is noble work.
edit: oh and YES this song definitely informed a bit of the chord progressions in u ouchea... it's really cool to see real old songs echo themselves in my newer ones.
lyrics
first sight love
just one look and oh honey
it was one too much
beat my beat
my heart is trembling
tell me you feel this too,
across the room
so won't you fly with me
fly with me
even if just for a while
i know that soon you will leave
mon amour at the airport
i'll always remember you
that red sweater
it really suited you
brought out the green in your eyes
oh boy
you were such a lovely surprise
so won't you fly with me
fly with me
even if just for a while
i know that soon you will leave
mon amour at the airport
i'll always remember you
so won't you fly with me
fly with me
even if just for a while
i know that soon you will leave
mon amour at the airport
i'll always remember you
the perfect record for being slow and gentle with yourself in the afternoon (or any time) // rock is my absolute favorite. such a groovie-smoothie. christelle bofale
well, i've only heard one single off of this as it hasn't been released in its entirety yet; however, i can wholeheartedly that this is about to be the ooey-gooey-est honey glazed roll of an album christelle bofale
supported by 12 fans who also own “first sight love”
I love the tone and experience of this whole album. Its tone is pretty sad overall I think, and it has a lot of its own flavor. And there are some calming and wonderful vibes on here (like Water Me Down and Flood)! Beautiful. mightyzote
